HISTORY

Voluntary Consumers Training and Awareness Society (VOCTA) established in 2010, is dedicated to the task of promoting and protecting the interest of consumers. Millions of consumers here in Bangladesh still lack the power to seek, and receive justice in the market place. We owe them our support by building powerful national consumer movements to help protect, and empower consumers. We work towards informing the consumers of their rights and motivating them to demand “value for money”.

VOCTA is dedicated to conduct research and studies on consumer issues for policy advocacy in order to create a healthy marketplace for them. VOCTA provides effective mechanism for complaints, and facilitates counselling to resolve problems and disputes arising from purchase of goods and services.

VOCTA encourages and recognizes the establishment of its Affiliated Chapters within Bangladesh. The functions of these entities are consistent with the objective of the organization.
